CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — It costs less to fill up at the pumps in P.E.I. after the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (IRAC) announced a decrease of 1.0 cents per litre in the price of gas on June 2.
In its latest adjustment, which went into effect at 12:01 a.m., IRAC said the price of regular self-serve gas now ranges from 164.5 to 165.6 cents per litre (cpl).

The price of furnace oil also went down by 2.0 cpl while diesel went down by 3.0 cpl.
With the changes, the maximum price of furnace oil is 98.4 cpl, and diesel ranges from 156.1 to 157.2 cpl.
Propane prices decreased by 1.8 cpl for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing, 2.5 cpl for Superior Propane and 3.5 cpl for Island Petroleum.
There were no changes for Kenmac Energy and Noonan Petroleum's propane prices.
IRAC's next scheduled pricing adjustment is June 9.
